Description Press photograph of a Corning glass harmonica. Caption on the verso: "CORNING, N.Y., JAN. 15 -- After tuning the 37 crystal bowls, Corning Glass Works scientist Paul Long places them on a steel shaft to form spindle for unique glass harmonica (not the mouth organ variety) patterned after instrument perfected by Benjamin Franklin nearly 200 years ago. Rubber bushing will serve as a cushion between bowls and shafts." Dated stamped: Jan. 1956.
